- Call to Order and Introductions - Meeting called to order at 10:30 AM by President Hart.
- Approval of Agenda - Approved by consensus as written.
- Approval of Minutes of January 29, 2008. Approved by consensus.
- Reports, Updates, Discussion
- Website - E. Jardine reported that two outstanding items to website development are missing county profiles and identifying partners and their links.
Action Item - E. Jardine will identify counties without profiles and e-mail the list to President Hart.
Action Item - President Hart will list partners and links and provide them to E. Jardine to provide to Steve Gorney so he can post them on the website under the Links section.
- Rural Resources Commission, Land Use Advisory Committee - K. Hughes - No meeting since last NYSACPD meeting.
- NYS Smart Growth Initiative - K. Hughes - President Elect K. Hughes shared conversations he's had with Deputy Secretary of State Bob Elliot regarding the Governor's effort to create a Smart Growth Cabinet. K. Hughes will attend the next Cabinet meeting.
- New Business
- North Country Planning Directors' Roundtable - CPDs from Jefferson County and St. Lawrence County gave reports on their current projects and activities. Details are on file.
- Pending Issues -
- Surveying bill - nothing new to report.
- Ag District mapping - Kris reported that Ag and Markets approved the change to digital mapping, but it is unclear if Cornell's IRIS is accepting digital format yet.
- Outstanding dues - discussion ensued on timing of dues billing by NYPF and President Hart will track down unpaid counties.
- Organizational Issues
- Treasurer's Report - Treasurer Jardine distributed report and reported account balances of the savings and checking accounts. K. Hughes inquired about the CD account balance - E. Jardine stated $7,900 as of 12/14/07. Motion to approve the Treasurer's report - moved by K. Hughes and seconded by D. Dineen. Unanimously carried.
- Upcoming Meeting Schedule - Discussion ensued on whether to have the next meeting in conjunction with the NYPF Fall Conference the week of Columbus Day or the APA UNY Annual Conference (Oct 8 - 10 in Henrietta/RIT). It was decided by consensus that more CPDs would be attending the APA UNY Conference making it better to have the meeting there.
- Adjournment - Adjourned at approximately 12:10PM by consensus. CPDs embarked on the tour of Fort Drum military base.
